Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Band Saw Operator to join our team in Lawrenceville, GA. As a Band Saw Operator, you will play a crucial role in our production process, ensuring that materials are cut accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities- Set up and operate band saws to cut various materials according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine cutting requirements.
- Monitor the cutting process to ensure quality and precision, making adjustments as necessary.
- Perform routine maintenance on band saws and report any mechanical issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Document production data and maintain accurate records of work performed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in machining or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience operating band saws or similar machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
- Familiarity with safety standards and practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions.
