Procurement Analyst
This position is being filled under the memorandum from the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness (USD(P&R)) "Expansion of Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense," dated October 15, 2021. As a Procurement Analyst at the GS-1102-13 some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Develop acquisition strategies to meet Government requirements; evaluate acquisition methods, contract types, contract terms, funding appropriateness, and unpriced contract actions; and provide technical contract advice and assistance to senior agency officials.
- Prepare clear, concise, and technically accurate memorandum, correspondence, reports, and supporting documentation for contractual actions and recommendations.
- Reviews and interprets procurement requirements and develops local policies and procedures for the effective use of contracting systems and automated acquisition tools.
- Conducts comprehensive studies and analyses of procurement policy and procedural issues; develops clear, timely program guidance, standardized processes, and local operating procedures; and prepares reports and briefings to support approval of recommendations.
- Provide authoritative technical advice and assistance on complex contracting matters with senior agency officials.
