Job Details Work Shift: Varies (United States of America)Scheduled Weekly Hours: 0Compensation: Salary Range: $31.00 - $49.50Union Position: NoDepartment Details: not specified Responsibilities Operate mammography equipment and perform various mammography‑related examinations to produce radiograph images for clinical screening and diagnostic purposes. Ensure accurate body positioning and provide mammograms to women under direct supervision. Implement radiation safety standards and relevant policies into imaging practices. Process and evaluate the technical quality of images. Deliver care and support services to clients before, during, and after mammogram procedures (e.g., explaining procedures, answering inquiries). Maintain records and update history associated with mammography. Educate women on the importance of mammography in preventing breast cancer. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of anatomy, pathology, physiology, and medical terminology. Maintain continuing education credits as necessary. Perform diagnostic radiology procedures, basic diagnostic radiology tasks, and mobile imaging. Conduct electrocardiogram (EKG), cardiac monitor placement, and dual energy X‑ray absorptiometry (DEXA) procedures. Be prepared for on‑call rotations nights, weekends, and holidays as required by facility needs. Qualifications Completion of an educational program accepted by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required. Certification or obtain ARRT certification in Mammography within one year of hire. A thorough understanding of mammography techniques and procedures is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment and re-certification as necessary. When applicable, maintenance of a valid driver’s license and good driving record is required. Compliance with Sanford category driver’s license policy and medical guidelines for job duties. For North Dakota positions involving medical imaging or radiation therapy, licensure through the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (NDMIRT) Board is required.
