Description:

These positions will be hospital float pool staff. Staff will be expected to float throughout various departments including the Emergency Department, medical surgical, telemetry, and stepdown/PCU. Flexibility in scheduling is required as candidates will not be able to request block schedules. The travelers may be expected to work during major holidays, with specific expectations depending on the number of holidays within the assignment period. Compliance requirements must be met in full prior to the start date. If not compliant in time, the start may be pushed back by 2 weeks due to the orientation schedule. A maximum of 7 days of requested time off is allowed during the contract period. Candidates must complete onboarding and compliance documentation in a timely manner to ensure a smooth start. Only candidates with required skills in arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, and care of ventilated patients will be considered. The role requires experience in central line care/management and management of dysrhythmias. Additional skills include starting and maintaining IVs, suctioning, and titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips. This is a float pool position which requires the ability to adapt to different units and patient care needs as necessary. All candidates must adhere to compliance and onboarding protocols to ensure readiness to begin their assignments on time.
