Summary Manages the operations of the showroom and staff while supporting outside sales for the region. Responsibilities Direct supervision and training of showroom staff. Works well with outside sales representatives. Works to increase showroom sales. Communicates with customers to determine their needs and provides the appropriate service. Initiates and follows up on tracking of all orders with the corporate office. Ensures showroom operations are completed efficiently. Arranges and displays new products for all fabric lines. Pulls all discontinued patterns from all lines. Prepares daily and weekly reports of showroom traffic and sales. Ensures weekly reports are completed and submitted each Friday. Answers phones, takes orders, checks stock, and advises customers on delivery. Maintains and balances petty cash for the showroom. Implements corporate policies and safety & housekeeping practices. Uses personnel, materials, and equipment effectively. Handles customer and staff conflicts when they arise. Performs other duties as assigned and follows management direction. Qualifications High‑school education required; college preferred. Experience in sales, preferably spending the majority of the day on the sales floor. Computer knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Excel. Ability to work with designers on projects and help select fabrics. Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Dependable with excellent organizational and basic math skills. Superb interpersonal skills; works effectively with others and motivates employees. Good oral and written communication skills. Neat in appearance and dress. Physical Requirements Essential functions of this position include: 6 hours sitting, 2 hours standing (8‑hour workday). Up to 2 hours of bending/twisting and reaching. Up to 2 hours of lifting (maximum 40 lbs). 4 to 6 hours speaking, 2 to 4 hours writing/typing. Reading and hearing for 6 to 8 hours.
