Responsibilities As the Child Life Specialist (CLS), you will provide psychosocial and developmentally based assessments and support for patients and their families. You will participate in an interdisciplinary care team at NYP/Westchester, enhance the quality of patient care through participation, documentation, and communication of care plans and treatment goals. You will collaborate with nurses, social workers, and clinical professionals to create a normalized healthcare environment for young patients and provide age‑appropriate activities and diversions. Preferred Criteria 1 year of experience with hospitalized children Required Criteria Child Life Council verified Internship hours (minimum 480 hours) Certified Child Life Specialist by the Child Life Council Bachelor's Degree in Child Life, Child Development or a closely related field Please note that all roles require on‑site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
