Leading the evolution of AI systems, the full-time remote Director of AI Engineering will own the end-to-end AI system layer at Jobber, focusing on integrating intelligent workflows across the product to enhance user experience for small service businesses. Key responsibilities Define and implement how AI operates across the entire product, ensuring seamless integration of intelligent workflows Manage a multi-team organization to execute the vision for AI-powered business operations Drive cross-organizational alignment and challenge assumptions to foster a system-thinking approach Required qualifications Proven experience building and leading production AI systems, particularly in agent orchestration and workflow execution Strong background in managing multiple teams and driving organizational growth in complex environments Deep understanding of product and systems thinking, with a focus on customer outcomes Experience in evaluating AI systems for reliability, safety, and performance improvements Ability to balance speed, quality, and safety in execution while navigating technical debt
