Registered Nurse CVOR

Job Summary:


Seeking an experienced RN for the CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) at a Level II Trauma Center. The position involves providing specialized perioperative care for cardiac surgery patients in a dynamic hospital environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preoperative assessments and prepare patients for cardiovascular surgeries.
• Assist surgical teams during procedures such as CABG and valve replacements.
• Monitor and respond to patient vitals and status throughout the surgical process.
• Adhere to unit protocols and policies to ensure patient safety and quality care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records, including Meditech.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to ensure smooth operative workflows.

Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum of 5+ years CVOR experience.
• Hold a current RN license and CPR certification.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Meditech electronic medical records.
• Possess previous main OR experience and flexibility to float to main OR.
• Able to work the specified shift schedule and participate in call rotations.
• Prefer candidates with scrub experience and vascular or thoracic procedure familiarity.
