LTC/SNF Registered Nurse

This position is for a Registered Nurse in a Long Term Care setting. The facility has 26 beds and operates on an Electronic Medical Record system. The nurse will act as charge nurse, manage medication administration, and perform wound care. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:10 during the day and 1:19 at night. Common diagnoses include heart disease, diabetes, and dementia. There are no IVs or titratable drips required in this unit. Telemonitoring is not utilized, and RNs do not read strips. Nurses are not required to attend team conferences for acute inpatient rehab. There is no onsite respiratory therapy available. Oxygen therapy equipment includes concentrators and portable units. Medications are dispensed from an off-site pharmacy. Shifts are 12 hours long from 7 AM to 7 PM, with no blocked schedules or self-scheduling. Every other major holiday is required. There are no floating requirements for this position. Dress code requires that attire is clean and presentable, but no specific scrub color is mandated. Candidates must be within a 50-mile radius to be considered for this role. RTO needs to be provided upfront, and additional requests will not be approved after submission. The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 4 shifts during the 13-week assignment. Charting is performed using MatrixCare/Matrix.
