Commercial Systems Strategist

Overview We’re partnering with a leading energy trading organization on a multi-year transformation of its trading systems landscape. This role sits within the business (not IT) and plays a key role in aligning commercial workflows with enterprise trading platforms. You’ll act as a trusted business partner to traders, risk, operations, and settlements, supporting a long-term ETRM consolidation initiative and helping sunset legacy platforms. The focus is on trade lifecycle ownership, requirements definition, system integration, and business readiness, working closely with technology delivery teams. What we’re looking for 8-10+ years of in-house trading floor experience Strong understanding of the end-to-end trade lifecycle Experience with ETRM implementations or major upgrades (any platform considered) Solid Business Analyst skillset with strong stakeholder engagement Python and/or SQL exposure a plus (scripting, queries - no coding) Commercial background strongly preferred (not a consulting profile) Why this role High-visibility, business-owned role Long-term program, with additional strategic initiatives ahead Opportunity to become a commercial systems SME or help shape future ETRM strategy If you’re coming from the business side of trading and enjoy bridging strategy, operations, and systems, this is worth a conversation. #J-18808-Ljbffr Optimus - People.
