Full-time Shoe Runner Associate (Days, Evenings, and Weekends)

Location Sandy Scheels, 11282 S State St, Sandy, UT 84070, USA Job type Full-Time On-site Responsibilities Assist in Men's, Women's, and Youth shoe areas. Be proactive in communicating with the Specialty Shop Manager and team to understand urgent needs in the area. Select shoes from backstock and place them in the staging area for sales associates. Return any unpurchased shoes to the correct areas in backstock. Assist Customer Service with shoe return processing and return items to the sales floor. Keep product organized to eliminate clutter and maintain accurate inventory records. Initiate a warm and welcoming interaction with customers, establishing rapport and offering assistance, setting a positive tone for the customer's experience. Maintain a smooth flow of service to minimize wait times for customers. Be organized, multi‑task, and maintain all aspects of the Shoe Runner role. Work independently and with the team. Strong oral/written communication and presentation skills to communicate effectively and promptly. Apply basic understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Demonstrate attention to detail. Be professional in appearance and attitude, contributing to a positive team atmosphere, and treating others with respect and consideration while following Scheels' policies and procedures. Be willing to do other tasks as assigned by leadership and merchandiser leads. Work assigned schedule; may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Education & Experience The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and/or 1–3 months of sales experience. Physical Requirements / Lifting Requirements Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation. Heavy work – exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
