POSITION GOAL:
To provide students with a positive and structured after-school running experience that promotes physical fitness, endurance, goal setting, perseverance, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle habits.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Plan and facilitate age-appropriate running, jogging, walking, stretching, and fitness activities. Teach proper warm-up, cool-down, pacing, and basic running techniques. Encourage students to set individual fitness and running goals and monitor their progress. Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, perseverance, and a positive attitude toward physical activity. Modify activities as needed to accommodate students of varying ages, abilities, and fitness levels. Establish and maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all participants. Clearly communicate behavioral, safety, and participation expectations. Supervise students throughout all Running Club activities and during dismissal. Monitor weather and outdoor conditions and adjust activities when necessary for student safety. Communicate with school administration regarding student concerns, safety issues, or program needs.TIME PERIOD:
