Sr. Software Engineer - Cloud Services

The Sr. Software Engineer may provide technical leadership for teams that develop Cloud shared services, Cloud applications, and Cloud infrastructure, or contribute as a senior member of teams developing such software. This includes, but is not limited to, technical design or oversight, new services or application development, expansion of existing software, and participation in the testing process through test review as needed. In this role, you will collaborate with internal business, technical, and architectural leadership, and with internal groups as needed, to understand business requirements and design and plan work. Location Plymouth, MN - Hybrid Your Responsibilities Gather system requirements working together with product architects and technical product owners Function as the technical leader or senior developer for complex Cloud projects Build software for the organization's systems and products as a service offering Stay well-informed of issues and complications related to a Cloud or Cloud shared services offerings Collaborate with geographically dispersed engineering teams to enable their applications to utilize Cloud infrastructure and Cloud shared services Discover standard cloud services offerings, install, and execute processes and standards for optimal use of cloud service provider offerings Document designs to assist in training others Train and mentor more junior engineers on the team Your Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field Minimum of six years of professional software engineering experience, including some experience as a technical lead Advanced working knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD). Advanced skills and experience in the following: C# / .NET Core, Unit test and mocking frameworks, Git Version Control Experience leading or working as a senior member of Agile development teams Applied knowledge of Agile Scrum Hands‑on development with Azure services 2+ years of experience with database development in the MS SQL Server, T‑SQL, stored procedures, schema design for OLTP and OLAP Extensive experience utilizing NoSQL databases, such as CosmosDB Design and development experience of REST APIs Knowledge of design/modeling with tools such as UML Proven analytical abilities applied to system design and software implementation Ability to keep up with new technologies/tools, design techniques, and lead the adoption of those technologies with the teams being led or working on Preferred Qualifications Experience with Microservices and serverless computing Experience working with other tech leads / senior team members, coordinating technical oversight or collaboration for similar projects underway Azure certifications Your Benefits Daikin Applied offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: Multiple medical insurance plan options + dental and vision insurance 401K retirement plan with employer match Paid time off and company‑paid holidays Paid sick time in accordance with the federal, state and local law Tuition Reimbursement after 6 months of continuous service Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $90,400-$151,800 + 10% bonus in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade in which this position falls.
