Tech - Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Cath Lab/EP Technician is responsible for supporting cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures within a high-volume cardiac unit. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures using specialized equipment.
• Prepare and calibrate tools such as Shockwave, Laser, CSI, Penumbra, IABP, Impella, and Rotoblator.
• Assist cardiologists and electrophysiologists during complex procedures including Pacers, ICDs, TAVR, and Watchman.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR systems MacLab and Meditech.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures by following strict clinical guidelines.
• Adhere to unit policies, safety standards, and protocols to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Cardiovascular or Radiologic Technology certification.
• Demonstrate at least 2 years of experience in a cardiac cath lab or EP lab setting.
• Possess proficiency with procedural equipment and technology.
• Have prior experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures.
• Be able to work flexible hours including every other weekend and holidays.
• Exhibit strong communication skills and teamwork abilities.
