Structure/Bridge Foreman - Primoris Heavy Civil - Shreveport, LA

Job Overview Job Summary: Oversee and direct all field operations for bridge and structural construction projects in the Shreveport, LA area, ensuring safety, quality, and project schedule adherence. Job Responsibilities** Lead and supervise a crew of skilled and unskilled workers, assigning tasks and providing clear instructions. Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents to ensure accurate project execution. Implement and enforce all company safety policies and procedures, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections. Monitor daily progress, track project costs, and manage material and equipment utilization. Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve issues and maintain project flow. Perform quality control inspections to ensure work meets project specifications and industry standards. Operate heavy equipment and machinery as needed, including cranes, excavators, and pile drivers. Maintain accurate daily reports, timecards, and other project documentation. Troubleshoot and resolve on-site problems efficiently and effectively. Train and mentor junior crew members. Job Qualifications** High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role focused on bridge or structural projects. Proven ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and shop drawings. Strong understanding of construction safety regulations and best practices. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in operating various heavy equipment relevant to bridge construction. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced outdoor environment, often in varying weather conditions. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
