Ready to take your payroll career to the next level? DCM Services is looking for a detail-oriented Payroll & Benefits Specialist who wants to grow with a dynamic, multi-state organization. You'll work directly with an experienced Payroll & Benefits Manager who will mentor you as you master the complexities of multi-state payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS systems.

What You'll Do

Payroll Operations (70%)

· Process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll for multi-state operations, including salaries, bonuses, benefits deductions, garnishments, and taxes

· Manage payroll updates for new hires, terminations, and pay changes with precision and timeliness

· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws across multiple jurisdictions

· Prepare payroll reports and support internal and external audits

· Respond to employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and accuracy

Benefits Administration (30%)

· Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and questions

· Verify insurance billing and maintain accurate benefits records

· Support open enrollment processes and benefits communication

· Process benefits changes in the HRIS system for seamless payroll integration

· Help prepare required benefits notices and compliance reporting 

Requirements:

What You Bring

Required:

· 2-3 years of payroll administration experience

· Strong understanding of payroll fundamentals and wage & hour regulations

· Proficiency with HRIS platforms (Paylocity experience is a plus!)

· Advanced Excel skills and comfort with the MS Office suite

· Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines

· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain strict confidentiality

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred:

· Exposure to multi-state payroll 

· Benefits administration experience

· Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, or related field (or equivalent experience)

· Understanding of 401(k), FSA, and other benefit plans

Work Location & Arrangement

Ideal: Hybrid in Bloomington, MN with 1-2 days per week in office
Also Considering: Fully remote candidates located in MN, VA, SC, FL, TN, or AZ
