Details Long-Term Care setting within a 300-bed state/government run facility offering rehabilitation therapies, skilled nursing, memory care, and wound care Care for a resident population primarily affected by Alzheimer's and Dementia Patient ratio of approximately 1:18-20 Night shift, 5x8-hour shifts per week (10:45 PM-7:15 AM), totaling 40 hours weekly Every other weekend required upon center request No floating between units required Charting system used is PointClickCare (PCC), though experience is not required for consideration Requirements Active NY RN license required with no license hits allowed BLS certification required Minimum of 1 year of LTC or Skilled Nursing experience required Must be able to pass a medication administration (med pass) test and clinical observation Must be an American citizen; Canadian citizens cannot be accepted Strong attendance, punctuality, and dependability required Additional Information Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and perform accurate medication passes Monitor and report changes in resident condition and complete timely documentation Supervise CNAs on assigned units Provide nursing care in accordance with facility policies Work in a fast-paced environment requiring flexibility with scheduling needs Attire consists of any solid color scrubs with closed-toe shoes Free parking available on-site Orientation occurs every 2 weeks and cannot be missed Shifts begin 15 minutes early and end 15 minutes late to accommodate handoff Holiday time off will not be approved prior to start; scheduling must be arranged directly with the center after starting Overtime is not available and would require case-by-case approval while on assignment First-time travelers are accepted Local candidates are accepted American Traveler Job ID P-750604.
