The Office of School Health (OSH) is a joint program of the Department of Education and the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, responsible for promoting the health of 1.3 million school-aged children in approximately 1,800 public and non-public schools across New York City.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

Develop, manage, and implement asthma-related clinical policies and protocols. Provide expert consultation and case management support to OSH physicians and nurses for students with poorly controlled asthma. Support in-school asthma management to reduce absenteeism and emergency room visits. Review medical accommodations to ensure safe school attendance for students with asthma. Train and educate OSH staff, school personnel, and parents on asthma best practices etc..
