Job Summary

Our client is seeking a  JOBS-Plus Career Coach to support workforce development initiatives for public housing residents. This role provides individualized career coaching, case management, employment assistance, financial literacy support, and connections to supportive services designed to help participants increase their income, build assets, and achieve greater economic self-sufficiency.

The ideal candidate has strong case management and coaching experience and is skilled at helping individuals establish and achieve employment, education, financial, and personal goals.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, enroll, engage, and retain participants in the JOBS-Plus program while monitoring employment needs, goals, and progress.
• Provide one-on-one career coaching, including resume development, job searches, applications, interview preparation, and employment-readiness assistance.
• Assist participants with education, training, financial management, and personal goals while connecting them to appropriate community resources and supportive services.
• Provide case management, referrals, action-plan development, appointment coordination, and ongoing participant follow-up.
• Maintain accurate participant records, case notes, program documentation, and reports while developing relationships with community partners and service providers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in  Social Work , Psychology, or a related field required .
• 3–5 years of professional case management experience working with low-income, special-needs, and/or at-risk populations.
• Experience in job development, career counseling, social welfare, workforce development, or financial management is highly preferred.
• Strong coaching, communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Experience with Motivational Interviewing or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is highly preferred; valid Texas driver’s license required.

The base pay rate for this position is $25.00 per hour , excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity.
