Position Overview

Primary responsibility includes driving commercial motor vehicles, short and long distances, to deliver a variety of products to customers while maintaining compliance with all Company safety policies and state and federal transportation regulations.

What You'll Do

• Responsible for operating a CMV single unit and/or truck-trailer combination to transport and deliver product, over intercity routes and/or across state lines

• Load and unload the vehicle, ensuring that all products are properly secured

• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any issues to management


• Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations, including but not limited to DOT hours of service, E-logs, rest breaks and any other record required by law

• Responsible for following safety policies and procedures, including PPE requirements

• Operate forklift or non-motorized equipment to load and/or off load product to designated area(s)

• Maintain communication during deliveries to ensure any updated instructions are received

• Maintain paperwork and documentation of deliveries and pickups


• Stay in compliance with annual training requirements

• Maintain an active CDL license, medical card and driving history that meets insurance standards

• Follow all traffic laws and report all violations and incidents

Mental & Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations and ability to handle paperwork, follow instruction, read road signs, maintain logs etc

• Ability to apply knowledge of commercial driving and skills in maneuvering vehicle at varying speeds in difficult situation, such as heavy traffic, inclement weather or in tight spaces

• Position requires the ability to lift, push or pull up to 100lbs on a regular basis and up to 150lbs on occasion

• Able to bend over to pick up product, occasion squatting and climbing

• Requires the ability to physically operate equipment according to the manufacture specifications and the Company's safety policies

Working Environment & Conditions:

• This position requires working in an external environment and requires 8+ hours a day of standing, sitting, climbing, kneeling, stooping

Education, Experience & Training:

• High School diploma/GED

• A minimum of 2 years of commercial trucking

• Must meet insurance standards
