Your Role in Our Story: As a Renewable Energy Market Analyst, you will:Help ACT stay ahead of regulatory developments across U.S., Canadian, and international energy marketsTranslate policy into actionable insights that drive product innovation and commercial strategyEnable our teams and clients to navigate complex compliance landscapes with confidenceMonitor and analyze renewable energy market policies and regulationsTranslate regulation into actionable insight for commercial teamsDrive product innovation; identify opportunities for new products and services based and drive their development from concept to launchSupport go-to-market readiness; work closely with commercial, legal, and operations teams to ensure products are compliant, relevant, and ready for marketShape ACT’s voice in the market; contribute to advocacy efforts, position papers, and external communications to strengthen ACT’s presence in policy discussionsEngage with industry stakeholders; represent ACT at conferences, workshops, and with regulatory bodies to stay connected and influence market developmentsYour Expertise: 3–6 years of experience in renewable energy, commodity or energy market analysis, trading, research, consulting, policy, regulation, or a related fieldStrong analytical and quantitative skills, with demonstrated ability to analyze market fundamentals, including supply, demand, market structure, price drivers, and the impact of regulatory or policy changesStrong problem-solving skills; ability to structure ambiguous market questions, identify the information and analysis required, build ETL pipelines, and develop a point of view from incomplete or imperfect dataAbility to interpret complex regulatory and policy frameworks and translate changes into market, pricing, and commercial implicationsWorking knowledge of Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) markets is required; knowledge of U.S. electricity markets and power-market fundamentals is preferredUnderstanding of corporate sustainability, compliance and voluntary regulation & frameworks, such as state renewable portfolio standards (RPS), Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHGP), Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi), RE100, Green-eInterest in applying analytical approaches across new markets, geographies, and products. Exposure to other environmental markets, such as biofuels, carbon credits, sustainable aviation fuel, tax credits, etc., is an advantageA degree in a relevant field such as Business, Economics, Engineering, Public Policy, or Environmental SciencePlease note: this role is 100% in-office in New York CityThe base pay range for this position is $130,000-$160,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
