Job Description Since 1958 IHOP has been a place where people connect over breakfast, enjoy study breaks, and grab a bite before or after sporting events. We are looking for a Host with remarkable hard skills and engaging people skills. The right person for this job should be able to multitask. Our restaurant prides itself in providing excellent service, great food, and a clean environment. To help our restaurant provide a pleasurable dining experience the following responsibilities, along with attentiveness, patience and a positive attitude, are required. Responsibilities of a Host Greeting, seating and escorting guests to their tables with a smile and welcoming comments Open doors for guests arriving and departing Accommodate any special needs of a guest (e.g., boosters, highchairs, disabilities) Process To-Go orders Manage wait lists when the restaurant is busy Provide menu recommendations and additional information such as specials Upsell additional products when appropriate Take orders Communicate order details to the kitchen staff Deliver food and beverages in a timely fashion to curb‑side pick‑up guests Clean and maintain the appearance of the restaurant Provide exceptional customer experience Answer the telephone per SOP Host Job Requirements Prior experience as a host is a plus Must showcase teamwork and communication skills Must be able to handle money transactions responsibly Must be able to multitask and act quickly Must be able to work weekends and holidays Must be a team player Must have an active Food Handler’s Card Benefits Competitive pay Flexible hours Training Real advancement opportunities #J-18808-Ljbffr IHOP
