Tax Preparer

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Tax Preparer to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $40.00 to $70.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file individual tax returns efficiently and accurately
- Conduct in-house tax appointments and provide guidance to clients during sessions
- Communicate effectively with the IRS regarding client matters and inquiries
- Use Lacerte Tax Software to complete and manage daily tax return processing
- Complete a high volume of returns, averaging 15 or more per week during tax season
- Understand tax preparation processes and compliance standards
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills with clients and tax authorities
- Apply attention to detail and accuracy in handling sensitive financial information
- Work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain professionalism and client confidentiality at all times
- Hold a CPA license or be a high-performing EA
- 3+ years of experience preparing tax returns
- Complete full tax seasons with consistent performance and reliability
- Use Lacerte Tax Software or similar platforms proficiently
- Conduct effective and professional communication with the IRS
