Ignite Hearts and Minds through Communication in New Mexico – Become a Speech Language Pathologist with Us
Your Mission
Imagine stepping into a role that allows you to impact lives profoundly, not just helping individuals overcome communication and swallowing disorders, but truly giving them a voice. As a Speech Language Pathologist nestled in the enchanting landscapes of New Mexico, your expertise will unlock the doors of opportunity for people of all ages. From little ones discovering their first words to older adults who are striving to regain their independence through the art of conversation, your work will weave the fabric of hope and connection.
This position offers a unique chance to engage with diverse populations, blending outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient assessments. Your passion for promoting pediatric language development, addressing adult neurogenic communication disorders, or aiding geriatric cognitive-linguistic recovery will find a fulfilling and flexible expression here.
Role Responsibilities
- Assess clients from pediatric to geriatric demographics through standardized testing and observational strategies.
- Create tailored treatment plans that encompass short-term objectives and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing aspirations.
- Deliver individualized therapy sessions that focus on enhancing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
- Collaborate seamlessly with an interdisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, family members, and caregivers to generate comprehensive care plans.
- Educate patients and their families to support ongoing improvement beyond the clinical setting.
- Conduct inpatient evaluations and interventions as needed, ensuring a consistent continuum of care.
- Document patient progress meticulously in accordance with both state and federal regulations.
- Engage in continuous professional development through ongoing education and teamwork.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those yet to acquire ASHA certification.
Certifications
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory within the first month of starting.
Essential Skills
- Solid grasp of evidence-based treatment practices for all age groups, with an emphasis on developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional communication skills to engage with patients, their families, and diverse care teams.
- Flexibility in adapting therapy methodologies to cater to varied cultural and language needs.
- Sharp clinical judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation standards.
What We Offer
- Attractive salary package based on your experience.
- Flexible work schedules designed to promote a healthy work-life balance.
- Potential to specialize in pediatric, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatric therapy.
- Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday compensation.
- Robust health benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
- Support for continuing education and professional growth.
- Benefits from working within a friendly and supportive team dedicated to quality care and ongoing learning.
Your Journey Starts Here
In this role, you're not just providing services; you're part of a mission dedicated to restoring voices, fostering communication, and creating joy through genuine human interactions. You'll join forces with professionals who treat each other like family, in a collaborative atmosphere where teamwork triumphs over rivalry. Every one of our patients has a journey; we trust you to help them tell that story.

Eager to relish the local flavors? Delight your taste buds with a mix of southwestern cuisines, from tangy salsas and hearty tamales to artisan breads and locally brewed beers. The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for a Speech Language Pathologist who leads with compassion and a results-oriented mindset. You are the type of professional who visualizes possibilities in every patient, whether it's a shy child discovering their voice or a resilient adult reaffirming their place in the world through speech.
Your background might include pediatric specialization supplemented by a desire to embrace adult clients — or perhaps you're seasoned in neuro-rehabilitation and eager to integrate pediatric insights into your practice.
If your heart beats for meaningful service and skilled leadership, we want to meet you!
