CGP: Staff Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $34 to $38 per hour.
Job Responsibilities :- Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure accurate and timely payment of salaries and wages.
- Support the budgeting process by gathering and analyzing financial data.
- Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Manufacturing (ideally food, beverage) or Retail, ecommerce, DTC / wholesale, B2B is a plus.
- Strong understanding of GAAP.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and accounting software's.
- Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Familiarity with tax filings and compliance.
- Proven ability to prepare and analyze financial statements.
- Demonstrated ability to handle reconciliations and variance analysis
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
