Adjunct RN Faculty - PRN Orlando PEDS Clinical/Lab - Nursing

Grand Canyon University has an opening for Adjunct Clinical and Lab Nursing faculty members, and we invite applications from individuals who are enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge with our Nursing students.This PRN adjunct position requires travel within Orlando (Lake Mary), Florida to directly observe student performance, when scheduled for clinical rotations and labs.What you will do:Reinforce didactic content, teaching the knowledge and skills needed for pre-licensure nursingCollaborate with content area faculty to provide expert evaluation and documentation of student progress toward clinical objectivesParticipate in grading written and clinical performance check-offsRemain current with new trends and development in the specific field of nursing practiceMaintain compliance with requirements for program accreditationUphold the tenets of nursing as a holistic profession as well as the pillars of the UniversityTravel to GCU student sites, directly observing student performanceParticipate in and/or support of the university program in all areas including an evident congruence with the philosophy and direction of the institution, and service to the communityProvide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon UniversityWhat you need:MSN required for clinicals and labsMinimum of 2 years’ recent work experience in pediatric (PEDS) nursingActive, current, unencumbered, and multi-state (compact) RN licenseMust successfully pass a drug test and competency testingExcellent communication skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with students#highered #faculty #teach #GCU #pediatric #PEDS #educator #MSN #PRN #INDLOPESUP #J-18808-Ljbffr
