Employment Defense Partner | Grow & Lead a National Practice

Employment Litigation Partner

San Francisco, CA | Hybrid

A nationally recognized, full-service law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Partner to join its growing Labor & Employment Practice Group in San Francisco.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a seasoned employment defense attorney to take on a leadership role within a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in employment litigation, wage and hour matters, and class action defense, along with a passion for mentoring attorneys, advising clients, and driving practice growth. Portable business is welcomed but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage sophisticated labor and employment defense matters from inception through resolution
• Defend employers in a broad range of employment disputes, including:
  • Wage and hour litigation
  • PAGA claims
  • Class and collective actions
  • Discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination claims
• Handle complex litigation in California state and federal courts
• Represent employers before the U.S. Department of Labor, EEOC, and state and local administrative agencies
• Provide strategic employment counseling and risk-management advice to clients
• Supervise, mentor, and develop attorneys and legal staff
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while contributing to the continued growth of the practice

Qualifications

• 10+ years of employment defense litigation experience
• Significant experience handling wage and hour litigation and employment class actions
• Proven leadership, management, and mentoring experience
• Strong advocacy, writing, analytical, and communication skills
• Experience managing complex employment matters in both state and federal courts
• Active California Bar admission required
• Portable business is a plus, but not required

Compensation: $200,000-$300,000 base salary, plus discretionary and billable-based bonus opportunities.
