Overview Midwest Refrigerated Services is a full-service 3PL company providing refrigerated logistics services for the food industry. Based in Milwaukee, WI, we operate the largest fresh 48 state LTL consolidation pool with more than 100 trucks, and offer multiple sites with cooler and air-conditioned storage, distribution and cross-docking services. We operate refrigerated and non-refrigerated warehouses for storage needs, and offer Value-Added Services such as specialty packing, kitting and fulfillment. General Position Overview This position must possess and maintain a valid Class A Commercial Driver License for at least 2 years. Qualify to meet the requirements of a Federal Medical Card and fit-for-duty standards. Able to operate all facets of tractor/trailer equipment in a safe and satisfactory manner. Possess strong communication abilities to interface with customers and the public in a positive and professional manner. Compensation Average Annual Earnings: $23.00/hour Overtime after 40 hours per week (averages 40–50 hours per week) Opportunity for advancement Paid via direct deposit bi-weekly Home Time, Route & Schedule Home Time: Home Daily Schedule: 2–3 days per week as needed Day Shift: Typically 2:00 am – 6:00 am start times; 8–10 hours per day Route: 2–6 stops per day, within a 250-mile radius of Milwaukee NO Touch Freight: Drop and hook or live unloads using lumpers General Accountabilities Complete daily logbooks and vehicle inspection reports Complete customer and task-specific trip reports Hook/unhook tractor-trailer combinations, operate landing gear, and cargo doors Observe and abide by all company policies in the Company Handbook/Driver Safety Manual Operate within the guidelines of all state and federal DOT regulations Accurately and legibly complete all required paperwork associated with freight delivery Maintain a daily record of duty status in accordance with federal, state, and company requirements Skills Required Ability to repeatedly bend at the waist/neck, twist and rotate hands, wrists, shoulders, elbows, and forearms Ability to appraise, evaluate, and respond to environmental strain and emotional stress Ability to withstand abrupt hour changes, irregular work/rest cycles, noise and vibration, temperature/weather extremes, irregular meals, and delays Available for flexible start/finish times to accommodate customer requests Be able to climb in and out of tractor and trailer Prerequisites Possess and maintain a valid Class A CDL for at least 2 years Possess satisfactory, verifiable experience and/or training in interstate Commercial Class A vehicle operation and freight transportation Meet Federal Medical Card requirements and the Fit-for-Duty Standard Midwest Refrigerated Services, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a drug-free workplace. #J-18808-Ljbffr
