Travel ER RN Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled ER RN for a 13‑week travel assignment in Lewiston, Maine. Company: Fusion Medical Staffing Location: Facility in Lewiston, Maine Qualifications Required: One year of recent experience as an ER RN Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC) Current PALS or ENPC Certification Preferred: TNCC, NIHSS, CPI, NRP, and SANE certifications Other certifications or licenses may be required Responsibilities The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) delivers rapid‑response, high‑quality patient care in a fast‑paced emergency department setting. This role involves assessing patient conditions, implementing urgent care plans, administering life‑saving treatments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high‑quality, patient‑centered care. Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity. Explain emergency procedures and treatments to patients and families. Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved emergency nursing protocols. Prepare equipment and aid physicians during emergency treatments and examinations. Monitor patient comfort and safety and respond to immediate needs. Observe and document patient conditions within scope of practice. Take and monitor vital signs using clinical judgment, addressing deviations and preventing complications. Respond to life‑saving situations based on emergency nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols. Document comprehensive nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic medical records (EMR). Initiate patient education plans according to individualized needs. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams—including physicians, specialists, paramedics, social workers, and other support staff—to ensure comprehensive care. Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice. Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards. Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills. Proficiency in reading, writing, and spoken English. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and proficiency in PC skills. Physical and Technical Requirements Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, and move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, and bend. Must have fine manipulation skills, handle equipment, and assist with procedures. Must cope with frequent contact with the general public and meet deadlines under pressure. Must work under close supervision occasionally and be able to work independently as well. Must handle irregular activity schedules and maintain continuous concentration to detail.
