Job Title: Associate Attorney - Finance
Location: New York, NY, Hybrid
Salary: $285,000 – $325,000 per annum

Holding an AM 200 ranking and a national platform, our client is looking to deepen its Finance practice and build on its presence in the New York lending market. Recognized by The Legal 500 for advising bank lenders in commercial lending, and Best Law Firms for Banking and Finance, the team combines a nationally acclaimed reputation with a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture where attorneys are given room to grow.
This is an opportunity to work closely alongside Legal 500 recognized partners in New York, including a City Elite honoree for Banking & Finance. With a client base of banks, commercial finance companies and investment funds, it offers a genuine chance to take on responsibility early and build a market-facing profile.
The Firm is seeking a 5-7th year finance attorney with a strong background in fund finance, asset-based lending or private bank lending, including securities-based or private stock lending. The ideal candidate is a motivated mid-level associate whose goal is to run deals, with the legal judgment and technical ability to take ownership of transactions from negotiation through to closing.

What you'll be doing
- Advising and representing lenders as counsel on fund finance, asset-based lending and private bank facilities, including securities and private stock lending
- Structuring, negotiating and closing deals for sophisticated New York market counterparties
- Drafting and negotiating credit agreements, security documents and related facility documentation
- Running transactions directly, with meaningful client and counterparty contact
What they need
- JD and admission to the New York Bar (or eligibility to be admitted)
- 5–7 years' substantive law firm experience practicing in fund finance, asset-based lending or private bank lending (such as securities or private stock lending)
- Lender-side experience preferred
- Strong familiarity with the New York market and sophisticated counterparties
- A self-starter mindset, with the confidence and legal judgment to take ownership of deals
