Registered Nurse - Med/Surg General Surgery, FT

Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Responsible for directing and coordinating all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Responsibilities Provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation). Direct and lead other assigned team members and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care. Provide patient/family centered care focusing on the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, religious, and environmental needs. Perform assessment, develop nursing diagnoses, identify outcomes, plan and implement interventions, coordinate care, teach health promotion, and evaluate goals and interventions. Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and healing environment by ensuring patient privacy and practicing responsive, respectful, and professional behavior. Participate in shared governance, adhere to standards of care, engage in peer review and professional development, promote leadership and clinical excellence. Coordinate the delivery of patient care services using care management principles, identify clinical priorities, and initiate actions to improve outcomes. Demonstrate ability to function in a professional practice model through shared governance, a healthy work environment, and personal responsibility for growth. Qualifications Graduate of a School of Professional Nursing. Experience in a clinical setting preferred but not required. License to practice in South Carolina or Compact Licensure Agreement.
