Spirit Defense - Associate Industrial Security Specialist

Position Responsibilities Level 2 : The candidate will perform Industrial Security functions including: Maintenance of electronic personnel records Security clearance applications Initial and refresher security training Security incident investigationsPhysical security oversight of secure areas Classified meeting support Classified visit requests This role will also include processing, monitoring and tracking cleared personnel foreign travel notifications, including pre‑and post‑travel briefings. Level 3 Responsibilities Assist with the development, implementation and administration of policies and procedures Maintenance of electronic personnel records Administer training Assist in security investigations Physical security oversight of secured spaces Classified meeting support Classified visit requests Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance and Special Program Access (U.S. citizenship required) Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and team‑based environment Ability to prioritize requests from multiple sources and support requirements Self‑motivated; taking ownership of projects and issues, including following through to closure and resolution Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail 2+ years’ experience required Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) Mid‑Level (Level 3) : 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Bachelor’s degree An active U.S. Secret Security Clearance and Special Program Access (U.S. citizenship required; clearance active in the past 24 months is considered active) Drug Free Workplace We are a drug free workplace. Summary Pay Range – Associate (Level 2): $62,300 – $95,500 Summary Pay Range – Mid‑Level (Level 3): $78,300 – $120,050 Kansas Tax Credit Join Spirit AeroSystems’ Kansas team and you may be eligible for a $5,000 state of Kansas aviation tax credit for up to five years. Security Clearance This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required). An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post‑Start is required. Visa Sponsorship Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status. Export Control Requirements This position must meet export control compliance requirements.
