RN - Cardiac Cath Recovery

RN Cardiac Cath Recovery Full‑time position in Aiken, South Carolina. Shift: 7 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. Sign‑on bonus of $15,000. Responsibilities Plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care using the nursing process for assigned patients. Provides psychosocial support and directs/monitors staff activities. Perform routine procedures according to established protocols. Demonstrate radiation safety, wearing protective equipment. Monitor procedures with specialised equipment. Maintain accurate, timely assessment during critical/emergency situations. Perform body system assessment promptly. Recognise and report changes in patient condition; develop and prioritise care plans. Monitor and interpret abnormal test results. Assess patient/family educational needs. Provide accurate information for continuity of care via shift report. Administer medications following the 5 Rights of Medication Administration. Report abnormal assessment findings promptly. Implement interventions as per care plan. Document assessments, interventions, medication administration, and variances. Document transfers in accordance with COBRA/EMTALA guidelines. Monitor hemodynamics and implement appropriate interventions. Recognise EKG changes and respond per protocol. Function as a Scrub Tech during Cardiac Cath procedures. Assist with Quality Control documentation and maintenance. Assist transportation of patients, ensuring proper assessment. Handle telephone information requests courteously. Maintain confidentiality and privacy 100% of the time. Deliver direct patient care appropriate to patient age. Ensure patient charges are recorded and sent appropriately. Maintain crash cart supplies and inventory. Clean and restock rooms after procedures. Perform sponge count with scrub tech per policy. Respond within 30 minutes for on‑call services. Attend mandatory hospital in‑services and staff meetings. Practice patient care per ARMC policy. Complete all other assigned duties. Current South Carolina nursing license; BCLS certification. ACLS certification within one year of hire. Excellent interpersonal skills; works well with physicians, nursing staff, technologists, support personnel, patients and families. Ability to perform timely and accurate work under stress.
