Non-Destructive Testing Inspector - 2nd Shift (Onsite)

Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Inspector Location: Columbus, Georgia – Columbus Forge, 2nd Shift (weekday afternoon through early morning hours). What You Will Do Support our manufacturing operations by performing quality inspection and data analysis using NDT techniques. Key Responsibilities Implement training and on-the-job education in NDT inspection techniques. Utilize Matec and IRT Ultrasonic systems for inspections. Conduct Ultrasonic inspections, analyze computer-generated data, and sign off product inspections. Maintain cleanliness of inspection areas and troubleshoot equipment issues. Read and decipher engineering blueprints and precision measurement devices. Work directly with the QP&E team, Material Control Lab, and manufacturing personnel to investigate inspection findings. Perform quality reviews of metallurgical dispositions following procedures. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Background in quality inspection, NDT methods, STEM education, or aerospace manufacturing. Previous NDT Class certification or the ability to obtain NDT Level 2 certification within the required timeframe. Ability to work overtime as needed. Preferred Qualifications 1+ year of experience in a quality and aerospace manufacturing environment. Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and quality procedures. Knowledge of Matec and IRT Ultrasonic systems. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
