Assist physicians and Cath Lab personnel in conducting diagnostic tests and procedures. Operate advanced imaging and monitoring equipment to capture data on the heart and vascular system.

Minimum Qualifications

• ARRT certified Radiologic Technologist required.
• Current Fluoroscopy certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Current cath lab experience required. Must be comfortable with conscious and moderate sedation, airway management, and cardiac drips (examples: Integrilin, dopamine, vasopressors).
• Experience with balloon pumps required.
• Experience in cardiac/coronary, vascular, peripheral, general IR and neuro intervention.
• Experience using Cerner charting system preferred.
• Must be willing to rotate call for inpatient and emergent cases (1x/week).

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab hospital setting preferred.
• RCIS or CCT will not be accepted; ARRT, Fluoro, and BLS are required.
• Experience at a STEMI receiving facility preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift pattern may include 10- or 12-hour shifts; department notes indicate willingness to work block weekend schedules.
• Rotate call requirement: 1x/week for inpatient and emergent cases.
• Weekend call: approximately 1 weekend per month; weekend call period may run from Friday evening through Monday morning and is subject to change.
• Orientation: 12 hours.
• Facility has 5 suites: 2 primarily coronary, 1 peripheral, 1 vascular & neuro, 1 EP.
• Average daily case volume varies between 10 and 22 total cases per day.
• Agency provides radiation badge to traveler.

As a traveling Cath Lab Tech, you provide crucial support for interventional cardiac and vascular procedures. Your role ensures procedural efficiency and patient safety by assisting with imaging, monitoring hemodynamics, and managing procedural equipment. Staffing model typically includes two techs per case (one scrub, one hemodynamic monitor) with RN support for conscious sedation and a designated Lead Tech for room assignments.
