Overview The Pinch Hotel is a new luxury hotel located in the heart of Charleston's historic district. As part of the Method Co. family, The Pinch offers personalized service and thoughtfully designed accommodations, with 24-hour concierge services, housekeeping, and personalized amenities. The property is a fully furnished 25-room hotel with full kitchens in units designed to feel like a home away from home. Base pay range $21.00/hr - $25.00/hr Details Department: Engineering / Maintenance Reports To: Director of Engineering Job Type: Full-Time Location: The Pinch Hotel, 40 George Street, Charleston, SC 29401 Position Summary We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our hotel team. This position is responsible for performing a variety of routine maintenance tasks to ensure the hotel’s facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in basic repairs, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Perform general maintenance and repair duties in areas such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and landscaping. Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests. Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities, equipment, and systems. Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical or electrical issues, and complete repairs in a timely manner. Ensure all maintenance work is performed safely and in accordance with hotel standards and local regulations. Maintain a clean and organized work area and maintenance shop. Assist in maintaining inventory of tools, parts, and supplies. Communicate effectively with the front desk and other departments regarding work order status. Follow all safety procedures and report hazards or unsafe conditions to management. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. 1+ years of maintenance or handyman experience (hotel experience preferred). Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems. Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform manual labor. Schedule & Pay Hourly Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour, depending on experience Shifts: Varying shifts; must have availability for weekends and some holidays.
