Thisposition focuses on leading staff and seniors on tax compliance and advisory work, reviewingdeliverables, resolving routine technical issues and identifying areas for process improvementwhile being a leader in the firms tax department. The Tax Manager collaborates with the TaxDirector and Managing Tax Director to ensure theseamless execution of firm goals in quality,JOB DUTIESEffectively manage client relationships and expectations throughout the engagementand beyond to maintain a high level of client retention for the Tax Director.Stay updated on tax law changes, ethical standards and industry best practices andmentor and train the team.Implement the firms quality control policies in daily work and escalate concerns.Ensure firm compliance with professional standards, internal policies and IRS and stateregulations.Serve as a primary point of contact for routine client questions, coordinate timelyresponses and keep them informed of progress and deadlines.Develop a reputation with clients for reliability, responsiveness, and technicalcompetence..Identify opportunities within new and existing client relationships.Model Creative Planning values.Provide and ensure open communication with all team members to promote a positivelearning environment that focuses on trust, transparency, and accountability.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONSActive CPA Certificationbusiness entitiesA bachelors degree in accounting or related degreeTECHNICAL SKILLSHistory of reviewing income tax returns of complexity while meeting quality standardsSolid technical skills in corporate, partnership and individual tax, includingunderstanding and application of IRS and State tax codesProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteFamiliarity with tax software, project management tools, and emerging technologiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsIntegrity, dependability, a positive attitude and a strong work ethicCreative Planning, LLC is an independent wealth management firm, whose affiliates also provide business consulting, tax, financial,and other professional services to clients.
