Start Date: 09/28/2026
End Date: 03/29/2027
Shift: Mon/Tues: 8:00 am 5:00 pm (on-site) with night call; Weekends: rounding + on-call
Hours/Week: Approximately 40+ hours
Employment Type: Contract / Temporary
License/Certs: Board Certified in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry or General Psychiatry + CAP fellowship
Experience: Minimum 2+ years in adolescent psychiatry, managing challenging behaviors, medication management, and family collaboration
Pay & Benefits
Hourly Rate: $273/hour
Night Call: $750/night
Shift Rates: Day shift at $300/day; Telehealth at $225

What You'll Do
- Provide psychiatric care for adolescents experiencing diverse mental health challenges
- Manage medication regimens, including psychopharmacology tailored to individual needs
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and modify interventions as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care
- Offer psychoeducation and therapeutic support to patients and families
- Document clinical encounters and maintain compliance with hospital policies
- Respond to on-call emergencies during weekends and weeknights
What You Need
- Board Certified in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry or General Psychiatry with CAP fellowship
- At least 2 years of relevant clinical experience in adolescent mental health
- Strong knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses, medications, and therapy modalities
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and families
- Excellent communication and de-escalation skills
- Valid California medical license or ability to obtain one
