Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Houston, TX. The Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting activities, including recording financial transactions, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing journal entries. Responsibilities include processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, reconciling bank and credit card statements, and assisting with payroll data review. The role will support month-end and year-end close, prepare financial reports for leadership, and help ensure compliance with internal controls and applicable accounting standards. The Accountant will collaborate with project managers and operations staff to track project costs, monitor budgets, and provide accurate financial information for decision-making. Qualifications Strong general accounting skills, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and management of the general ledger. Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, invoicing, vendor management, and collections follow-up. Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis, including preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow summaries. Comfort working with accounting software and ERP systems; strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting. Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong organizational skills for managing multiple projects and deadlines. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate financial information clearly, and support project cost tracking. Knowledge of basic tax, compliance, and internal control principles relevant to a small-to-mid-sized contractor or construction-related business. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or progress toward certification is a plus. Prior experience in construction, electrical contracting, or similar project-based industries is beneficial. #J-18808-Ljbffr
