Contract (13 Weeks) | 12-Hour Rotating Day/Night Shifts | 36 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to labor, postpartum, and newborn nursery patients within a Level 1 maternity and Level 1 nursery setting
• Manage labor patients, postpartum mothers, newborn nursery care, and post-op GYN patients as part of an integrated OB unit
• Staff and deliver care in accordance with AWHONN guidelines for nurse-to-patient ratios
• Perform triage, daily unit tasks, restocking, and cleaning as assigned during shift rotations
• Float to other departments (e.g., Med/Surg, ER, or ICU) for non-patient-assignment tasks such as vital signs, answering lights, or completing patient histories as needed
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations (approximately 2 weekends out of every 4)

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
• Current Advanced NRP certification (AHA or ARC accepted)
• Minimum of 2 years of OB experience with Labor and Delivery competency
• At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records (required)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• AWHONN and PALS certifications preferred
• Critical access hospital experience highly preferred
• Strong adaptability, resilience, and ability to manage change in a highly variable census environment
• Assertive, confident, team-oriented, and socially engaged professional demeanor
