Supply Chain Analyst

We're partnering with a leading global fashion retailer to hire a Merchandising Planner (Inventory Demand) who will support inventory allocation, demand planning, and sales optimization initiatives. This role partners closely with merchandise planning and cross-functional teams to analyze demand trends, optimize inventory deployment, and ensure the right product reaches the right stores at the right time. Ideal candidates will have strong retail planning, allocation, and analytical experience and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid) Duration: 6-month contract with potential extension Hours: 40 hours/week Pay Rate: $32-34/hour Responsibilities: Partner with merchandise planning and allocation teams to perform analytics and generate reporting that supports inventory initiatives. Execute inventory deployment strategies that align with demand forecasts and business objectives. Participate in floorset planning, inventory forecasting alignment, and size-selling analysis. Identify assortment opportunities and adjust future deployment strategies based on business insights and performance trends. Analyze store-level inventory opportunities and recommend actions to optimize sales and inventory productivity. Support reporting, ad hoc analyses, and special projects as needed. Improve reporting and deployment processes through data-driven insights and operational efficiencies. Collaborate with domestic and international stakeholders to ensure effective execution of inventory plans. Maintain strong communication across global teams to support business goals and productivity. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience required. 3-5 years of experience in merchandise planning, allocation, inventory deployment, or a related retail planning function. Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving capabilities. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required. Experience with allocation and planning systems such as JDA Allocation preferred. Familiarity with tools including MSI (MicroStrategy), SAP, Manugistics, and Salesforce is a plus. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
