Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a PICU setting, exemplifying a dedication to providing high-quality care to critically ill children.

The unit is located in Denver, CO, and is named the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). It has 20 beds and 51 staff members including day and night shift nurses and a patient care technician.

The patient ratios are 1:2; 1:1. Equipment used includes Philip monitors, Alaris and Medfusion IV pumps. The electronic medical record (EMR) is Meditech.

We are looking for a candidate with the following must-have qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of current PICU RN experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience in post-operative cardiac care
• Proficiency in venous puncture

On this unit, you will be involved in:

• Conscious sedations
• Care for patients with respiratory failure (including ETT, HFOV)
• CT placement
• Central line maintenance and care
