Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Transplant)

Indianapolis, IN | Short-Term Acute Care

Contract | 3×12-Hour Shifts | Weekend Nights (Saturday, Sunday, plus one rotating weekday) | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | Call and holiday coverage required

Provide perioperative nursing care in an operating room setting focused exclusively on abdominal transplant procedures, including kidney, pancreas, liver, and intestinal/multi-visceral transplants

Perform scrub and/or circulator duties as assigned throughout the surgical episode of care

Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health records

Participate in on-call rotations and holiday coverage as required by the unit

Float within the hospital or to affiliate facilities as needed — floating is required of all travelers

Minimum 2 years of Transplant OR experience — this is a hard requirement and no exceptions will be made

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; must be in hand prior to start date (temporary license may be acceptable if permanent license application has been submitted)

Graduation from a nursing program accredited by the ACEN or CCNE at the time of graduation

Must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays

Two supervisor references required at time of submission

Indiana residents are considered local and are eligible for this Surgical Services position; eligible local travelers will be offered the applicable in-state rate
