Lead Java Developer

Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a Lead Java Developer to join their team. As a Lead Java Developer, you will be part of the Software Development Department supporting critical banking applications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Lead Java Developer Location: Seattle, WA Pay Range: $71.6 What's the Job? Develop, enhance, test, support, maintain, and debug enterprise software applications supporting business units and functions. Collaborate with business leaders and architects to deliver innovative solutions that safeguard and optimize banking operations. Lead or contribute to system architecture and strategic technical direction for various initiatives. Coordinate with external teams to ensure timely and within-budget delivery of software projects. Create prototypes and UML diagrams to illustrate current and future application states, ensuring clarity and alignment. What's Needed? Over 10 years of hands-on experience developing mission-critical, large-scale enterprise applications using Java/J2EE. Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and experience with Java frameworks such as Spring and Spring Boot. Proficiency in developing RESTful services, SOAP Webservices, and working with Oracle SQL/PLSQL. Experience with distributed databases like Cassandra and tools such as Maven, GIT, CI/CD pipelines, and Splunk. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and test-driven development practices.
