Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2290 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare and no current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - OSF HealthCare.

Additional Details:

References: At least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to.

Required Skills/Experience: EKG/telemetry strip reading and interpretation required. Medication titration required.

Unit Details: Nurse:patient ratios are 1:4-5 on days and 1:5-6 on nights. Cardio thoracic telemetry population includes MI, CHF, A fib, COPD, pacemaker/AICD placement, lung surgery, chest tubes, esophagectomy patients (not fresh from PACU), and general med overflow. Titrates Cardizem and heparin drips. Uses Phillips telemetry monitors; monitor techs available. Respiratory equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP for home-regimen patients, and heated high flow in special circumstances with COVID patients.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend; nights: Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday. Holiday rotation includes Memorial Day Eve, July 3rd, Labor Day Eve, Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Eve. No call at this time.

Floating Requirements: Float to other general medical units.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead references required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required for submission
