Registered Nurse (RN): Behavioral Health

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Behavioral Health to join our team. This role involves delivering exceptional care to adult patients experiencing mental health conditions in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Position Information

• Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours
• Call Requirements: None

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 23, 20, 15, 13, 10 (across 5 units)
• Patient Ratios:
  • 23 patients with 2 RNs and 4 CNAs
  • 20 patients with 2 RNs and 2 CNAs
  • 15 patients with 1 RN and 2 CNAs
  • 13 patients with 1 RN and 2 CNAs
  • 10 patients with 1 RN and 2 CNAs
• Electronic Health Record System: Cerner
• Patient Population: Adult
• Common Diagnosis/Treatment:
  • Schizophrenia
  • Dementia
  • Manic Bipolar Disorder
  • Psychosis
  • Dual Diagnosis
  • Medical Detox
  • Depression and Anxiety Disorders

Qualifications

• Required Certifications: Current BLS Certification
• Preferred Skills/Certifications: CPI or Handle with Care (HWC) Certification preferred; training available
• Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a behavioral health setting preferred
• Personality Fit: Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach to care
