Job Description
Title: RN - PACU / Short Stay

Schedule:
- 1 shift per week in Recovery (PACU)
- 2 shifts per week in Short Stay
- On-call: 1 night per week and 1 weekend per 4-week schedule
- Required weekends only when on-call

Assignment Details:
- Patient ratios: 1:2-3

Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year RN experience required
- Compact state nursing license must be in hand at submission
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
- 2 references covering 1 year (within last 3 years)
- Candidate must disclose any prior work at partner facilities (location + dates)

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to patients in Phase I PACU and Short Stay/MPU with focus on post-anesthesia recovery and monitored post-operative observation
- Administer medications and manage IV therapies, including IV vasopressors
- Conduct pain assessment and management, including PCA management and use of opioid reversal agents
- Recognize and manage dysrhythmias and administer blood products as required
- Provide care for patients with ventilators and manage post-epidural care
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including malignant hyperthermia

Compliance / Notes:
- Must commit to working 3 of these 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
- Modules to be completed pre-start and during orientation (tracked in Workramp)
- Do not contact the facility directly unless instructed by the recruiter
