Senior Data Engineer

Indianapolis, IN | Hybrid Relocation considered for the right candidate We’re partnering with a confidential, industry-leading organization in the infrastructure and construction materials sector to hire a Senior Data Engineer who will help build and scale a modern enterprise cloud data platform. This is a hands-on senior role focused on production systems. You’ll design and optimize data pipelines, strengthen the Databricks environment, implement Delta Lake and data governance, and improve the reliability, performance, and cost efficiency of the cloud data platform. You’ll work closely with Data Strategy, Finance, Operations, and Analytics teams. What You’ll Do Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines in Databricks Optimize Databricks clusters for performance, reliability, and cost Implement and maintain Delta Lake architecture Integrate Databricks with Azure services (ADF, ADLS, Synapse, DevOps) Build CI/CD pipelines and workflow orchestration Support data governance through Unity Catalog Partner with business stakeholders to turn requirements into scalable solutions Help establish engineering standards and best practices What We’re Looking For Required 5+ years of Data Engineering or Cloud Data Engineering experience Strong production experience with Databricks Hands-on experience with Snowflake Advanced Python / PySpark and SQL Experience building and supporting scalable ETL/ELT pipelines Solid understanding of cloud data architecture (Azure preferred) Experience with data modeling, schema design, and performance optimization Bachelor’s degree in a technical field Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship Preferred Delta Lake and Databricks Unity Catalog CI/CD for data workflows Databricks Jobs / workflow orchestration Cluster monitoring and cost optimization Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Base salary: $130,000 - $155,000+ (negotiable based on experience) 10% annual performance bonus (up to 2x multiplier opportunity) Medical, dental, and vision 401(k) with company match PTO + company holidays Hybrid work flexibility This is a high-visibility role with the opportunity to influence enterprise cloud architecture, governance, and platform strategy at a stable, growth-oriented organization. #J-18808-Ljbffr MS Companies
