Quality Inspector

The Quality Inspector is responsible for monitoring and evaluating the quality of materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with company standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines. This role plays a key part in maintaining product integrity, reducing defects, and supporting continuous improvement within the manufacturing process. Key Responsibilities Perform inspections on raw materials, in-process components, and finished products according to established procedures and specifications. Use measuring instruments and testing equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMMs) to verify dimensions and product quality. Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records in quality systems or databases. Identify and report nonconformities, defects, or deviations from standards, and assist in root cause analysis. Work with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective/preventive actions. Follow established safety procedures and promote a safe work environment. Support internal and external audits when required. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency. Qualifications & Skills High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in quality or manufacturing preferred. 1–3 years of quality inspection or manufacturing experience (preferred) Knowledge of quality standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or industry-specific standards) a plus. Proficiency with precision measuring tools and inspection equipment. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, quality management systems). Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50lbs for extended periods. Visual acuity to detect product defects and perform detailed inspections. Manufacturing plant environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and moving equipment. Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and hearing protection. #J-18808-Ljbffr
