JOB PURPOSE
The Outlet Store Associate assists in the daily operations of the pound store, product flow, process execution, and shopping environment. This role assists store leadership in pursuing optimal store performance and delivering positive customer experience in a fast-paced outlet setting.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Cultural and Ministerial Responsibilities
• Uphold and promote YUGM’s Christian beliefs and behaviors, core values, policies, and procedures with a high-level of integrity.

• Provide ministry and show kindness and grace to staff, volunteers, clients, donors, and the community.

• Engage in opportunities to pray for individuals, departments, strategic plans and other YUGM needs.
Functional Responsibilities
• Assist the Management Team in the building of the team, by being an example of “revealing Christ” to all staff, donors, and customers.
• Provide a friendly and joyful welcoming to all customers when they enter the store and throughout their shopping experience.
• Assist the Management team in register transactions including handling of cash and credit card payments and any non-cash purchases, and with proper use of weight scales, to ensure accuracy and security of all transactions.
• Work with the Management Team to establish and maintain customer service standards to ensure compliance with the company mission statement and to provide a pleasant shopping experience for each customer.
• Work with store staff in maintaining the physical appearance of the store on every shift, including by not limited to: communicating and restocking of janitorial and restroom supplies, removing safety hazards, picking up store merchandise and restoring to proper place, cleaning parking lot, sidewalks, windows and doors, store floors, break rooms(s), restrooms and other public areas, to ensure the safety and health of customers and employees.
• Communicate daily all events related to customer service issues or problems, register mistakes, employee issues or accidents, and general store operations to the manager, to ensure all issues are handled properly and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Assist Management Team with processing and moving of tables, totes, crates, to ensure a consistent movement of product from backroom to floor.
• Assist with the filling of tables, totes, crates, etc. with product for the efficient and timely move of product from backroom to floor in line with rotation schedule.
• Assist Management Team in monitoring ingoing/outgoing product and creating rotation flow for each day based on what is requested/brought
. • Keep Processing clean and organized by rearranging product throughout the day to maintain an efficient flow with Distribution/servicing. Along with training on all necessary equipment for job duties.
Additional Responsibilities
• Attend as requested or required all YUGM trainings and meetings scheduled by the management team to keep current on any policy changes, new procedures, and other information essential to performing the job.
• Other duties as assigned in support of YUGM's mission and values.

Education and Experience
• Communication and organization skills

• Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) with an excellent command of the English language
• Excellent math and money handling skills
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form
• Ability to operate a cash register and credit card machine
• Ability to operate general office machines, copier, fax, printers, scanners and Microsoft Suite.
Proficiencies
• Money handling/reconciliation
• Microsoft Suite (including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Excel, etc.)
• Must be detail-oriented and have solid organizational skills.
• Must be a problem solver and be able to work with a minimum of supervision and take initiative.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Must possess a demonstrable level of proficiency in planning so as to meet established goals.
Working Conditions
• Full time: 35-40 hours a week / Part-time: up to 29.5 hours a week.
• Hourly wage subject to position. • Schedule will be made in collaboration with the director, director has final say in all scheduling requests/accommodations.
• All vacation requests must be submitted to and approved by the manager 2 weeks in advance.
• When working a shift of over 5 hours you are entitled to a half hour lunch break before the end of shift (unpaid).
• When working a shift of over 4 hours you are entitled to a 10-minute break before the end of shift
